My Roku stick remote makes a high pitch sound and goes through batteries very quickly now fresh batteries aren't even helping and the remote is no longer working.

The remote still won't work. The serial number is YH00D5864494.

I am also having this problem. My remote is making a high pitched noise and no longer works, like many others have mentioned. What is the actual solution to this, besides throwing it away?

Hello,

I am having this same problem. When I put new batteries in the remote, I hear a high pitched noise coming from it and the remote batteries die within a few days. Device serial # is YH00GY681188
