Remote High Pitch Noise issue

This has happened to me with two different remotes. Replacing batteries doesn’t fix the problem.

Have you tried running the troubleshooting steps from our Support page to get your remote back up and running? Fix your Remote.

    Yes, I’ve gone through those steps. They didn’t work the first time so I replaced the remote. The troubleshooting steps didn't work this time, either.

Just to clarify, does the high pitch noise happen whenever you're trying to pick an app/channel or when you are in a specific app/channel? Would you mind clarifying when did the issue occur?         RokuCarly The remote makes a high pitched noise whenever I put batteries in it. This happened 4-6 months ago, I couldn’t fix it, and I’ve been using my phone to control the Roku ever since which is not a good experience. The same thing happened a few years ago and I ended up having to buy another remote.
