First suggestion is to try a different HDMI cable. Also try a different input on the TV, assuming you have more than one.

Six different Roku devices, six different televisions, six different HDMI cables, all do the same thing. Pretty certain it's the Rokus that have the issue. Also, several of the Rokus have been in use for more than one or two years with no issues, all now started doing it a few months ago at the same time.
I have the same issue with the 4k streaming stick + (which btw has no cables). I have it powered with the included power brick connected to mains power. This is my third generation of Roku, where with all previous generations I never had a "nagging" issue like this. Given my wife is not happy with this "new problem", I likely will buy a different brand altogether and replace my brand new Roku 4k stream stick +.
My Roku started going black 2 days ago. This is my first experience with Roku and I've only had it since 1/01/20. I have a Premiere device. This sounds like a manufacturing problem.
After calling Customer Service and moving the HDMI to a different port on my TV, the blackouts stopped. It's only been a couple days, but so far so good.
My Ultra started doing this in January as well. I have to reboot it and it will be fine for a few day then it starts again.
