Tv USB can’t power device but I turn it off then back on and it works???

Jump to solution

This is nonsense. I have been trying to reach Roku for months to figure out how to fix this issue. The stick says the USB port can’t power the device and I should do something about it. The heck do I do??? #power #usb #nonsense

Use the supplied power adapter, not the TV's USB port.

Many tv USB ports don't supply the amperage needed to power a Roku reliably.  That's why Roku includes a USB power adapter.  Their adaptor provides 1 amp of power, while many tvs only supply half that.
