I just got this Roku Premiere at Christmas. The Roku suddenly looks like it's buffering but fast forwards to about 2/3 of the way through the NEXT episode of whatever I'm watching. I switched from a FireTV box and never had this problem. I checked and I have the latest system update, the internet and WiFi connection is good. I'm perplexed.
First thing I'd try if this happened to me would be a system restart, just like you have to do with a computer once in a while. Settings > System > System update
