I've been having problems with my wifi for 2 weeks now and someone was able to come out and fix it today. I'm having problems connecting my Roku to the new wifi. When I got back, I noticed my remote isn't working, so I can't use that and the remote app won't work unless its on the same network. How do I connect my Roku to the wifi without using a mobile hotspot (I tried that too).
First, try a set of new fresh batteries in the remote even if you think the batteries are fine. If it still doesn't work, can you set up the new Wi-Fi to match the old Wi-Fi that the stick is trying to connect to - same frequency (2.4GHz vs 5GHz), SSID/network name, and password?
