I just bought a ROKU smart tv Model WR50UX4210 and it has an Optical jack on the back. I used it to hook up my hearing aid TV ears. I had used the Headphone jack but then the TV speakers didn't work and no one else could hear the tv. The Optical jack worked and now the sound comes into my hearing aid and also the TV speakers.
