No Screensaver menu choice

Jump to solution

Just got the 4K stick about 2 weeks ago, so it should have the latest software.  I'm trying to disable the screensaver.  I looked up the solution on the internet and it is supposed to be Home -> Settings -> Screensaver, then disable it or choose wait time = Never. However, I don't have a Screensaver menu choice under Settings.  There is one under Themes, but that just allows you to choose a different screensaver.

Help?!

You apparently found some outdated info.

Try:

  • Settings / Wallpapers & screen savers
  • Screensaver Start Time (Under "Advanced Settings")
  • Disable screensaver

At least that's what I'm seeing now on my Ultra 4800 running Roku 13.0.

If I recall correctly, when there was a Themes menu item, in addition to options for selecting a theme, the selection for Screensaver start time/disabling was found by scrolling further down the screen.

Hi - The menu config was slightly different for me: Home -> Theme -> Screensaver start time -> Disable screensaver.  However, that should do it, so thanks for your guidance!

I'm not finding the settings for the screensaver either. There is a "screensavers" option which just shows me the screensavers available, no settings. There is no "wallpapers and screensavers" option at all.

@Ataraxis_Nika, under the "Theme" settings, you should see the "Screensaver start time" option as well as wallpaper settings.  Is there something else you're looking for?

Oh, bless you!! I spent hours 2 days in a row trying to find it with the other instructions. I'm writing this down!!! 😅

So, the reason I wanted to find it is because I'm trying to solve the problem of my remote supposedly being asleep when it does everything except turn on the tv and control the volume. None of the instructions I've found help with that either. There's always something missing in my menus that don't mesh with what everyone else seems to have.
