I think you need to give us more information. Roku devices don't ask for a password. Some apps ask for a username and password that's different from your Roku account information, so where exactly are you being asked for a password? A picture of the screen might help.
If you didn't set up the TV, who did? It might be best to create your own Roku account, factory reset the TV, and link it to your own account.
