Can Roku simultaneously play sound on TV and stream sound to my hearing aids

Many, many people have requested that the "private listening" feature not mute the TV sound, but so far Roku has been deaf to the idea (no pun intended).  I'm not aware of any solution that doesn't involve additional equipment, but maybe others have some suggestions.
