YouTube was malfunctioning. So I uninstalled it. Then when I reinstalled it and signed in YouTube will not appear on my apps list.
And so therefore I cannot see it without going into a search menu. And the app is ticked as if it's already added so I can't uninstall it again either.
Obviously an intentional manipulation of YouTube to try to increase the subscribership of YouTube TV. Complete garbage behavior and Roku being complicit in this garbage behavior is disgusting.
We've starting seeing reports of individual installed channel apps not being shown in the home page channel grid. They can be found and accessed via a channel search but this method is not very convenient.
This appears to be a random glitch not tied to any particular channel app.
Two methods have been suggested as means of removing the channel app in the hope that a re-install will now be visible in the home page channel grid. There is some indication that reinstalling via the Roku onscreen Channel Store interface is more likely to succeed than using web access to the Channel Store.

VIA ROKU REMOTE APP ON ANDROID AND IOS DEVICES
When in the Roku remote app on you mobile device:
• At the bottom of the first screen, click "Devices", and if necessary connect to one of your Roku devices.
• In your connected device click on "Apps on Roku".
• Click AND HOLD the channel you wish to remove (a quick click will bring up the remote controls instead).
• Click on "Remove" and confirm.
Note that this will remove the channel app iteself from your Roku account, but it will NOT cancel any paid subscription you may have for this channel.

VIA ROKU "CHANNEL INFO SECRET SCREEN"
[Caveat: "Secret Screens" are not officially supported by Roku, may not work on all models, and may be withrawn without notice.]
CAUTION some of the items listed here are required for Roku operation. Be sure you ONLY remove installed channel apps.
• Accesss the CHANNEL INFO screen using the remote: Home (5x), Up (2x), L, R, L, R, L • Scroll down the channel app list to find the channel you want to remove
• Select, then Remove Channel, then Home • Restart: Settings/System/Power <if present otherwise skip>/System restart
It worked for me through ""CHANNEL INFO SECRET SCREEN"" option.
Thanks
