My Vizio 4k tv does not have bluetooth and I recently bought an Ultra to use instead of the embedded Vizio smartcast system. I have a soundbar attached via the optical port but I would prefer going wireless. So, do the Roku wireless speakers connect through the Ultra or is a bluetooth enabled TV required?
Sorry but no. The roku wireless speakers only work with Roku tv's and Roku Soundbar/Streambar's. It doesn't use bluetooth, it uses a proprietary wifi-direct signals to connect to roku only devices, which doesn't include the roku ultra.

So, if I replace the Ultra with a stream bar will the wireless speakers then work?
Yes, but as surround speakers, rears. If it were linked to a Roku tv, the wireless speakers would be main speakers.
Ok - Thanks!
