Light is not on while tv is not. Wont respond to any clicks of the remote. I tried factory resetting it and it won’t do anything. Cant even get through the setup steps.

Have you tried contacting TCL support yet to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Update: I switched out the batteries in the remote and we are working now.
