Half of my screen dark on my TCL 55FS3850

I’ve owned my television for about two years and recently the left side of the screen went dark, I could still see the picture but it was noticeably darker on the left side, however the right side was normal.

This went on for a couple of weeks with me researching and trying to figure out if anyone else have had the same issue, I was actually going to purchase a new television today when this morning I turned  the television on and the left side is normal with just a hint of darkening in a small portion down the center.

 Is this a software issue, and hardware issue or something else?

This appears to be a hardware issue with your Roku TV. 

Please contact your TV's manufacturer directly to report this issue and request additional support. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.

This seems like it would be related to a hardware issue. Have you tried contacting TCL support yet to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support for their products running the Roku OS.

This issue may be related to a hardware issue. We would recommend reaching out to your TV manufacturer for further assistance regarding what you are experiencing. I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support for their products running the Roku OS.

Tried contacting tcl and they do not provide warranty support

Hi I'm having the same problem with the same tv I bought two years ago as well except mine is in the middle a little more to the right side did they at least tell you want is wrong and give any suggestions?

Also having this issue, as of about 2 weeks ago. Keeps getting worse.

About a year and half into mine in started in the middle and then went a away. It soon came back and now half the screen is dark

'Left Side' of TCL Roku TV screen dimmed after the 9.4 Update.

After my TCL Roku 4K TV got the 9.4 update.  The 'Left Side' the TV screen dimmed.  Also, switching between APPs on the main APP list LAGs way behind after each move clicked on the remote.  The is IR based.  I tried a RESET EVERYTHING to no avail.  These issues continue.
