What happened to the NBC app that was showing Major Dad, on a loop for a week at a time, then moving to another program for a week at a time, on a rotating basis? Disappeared on June 1.

Roku has nothing to do with the programming on any app other than The Roku Channel and they don't even seem to have complete control (or know what they're doing) with that one.  The nature of streaming is that rights to programs are acquired and expire.  It often happens at the beginning of a new month, but it can happen at any time.  If a program disappears from one app, it sometimes pops up on another.

There is a channel on the ROKU Live TV called NBC Comedy Vault. Major Dad is on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, starting at 4:30 AM Central Time. It stops at 4:30 PM for Will & Grace.
