MLB Channel Not Available or Not Working

My MLB channel is not working. It just spins and then kicks me out. I have deleted the channel,  reset my Roku, and then added the channel back on. Still not working. Any other ideas?

  • Your message shows you are using an old Roku 2 XS. I still have a 2 XS (model 3050X) on a little-used guest bedroom tv, and it is doing the same thing. There is no problem on my other two, newer, Rokus on other tvs.

    The latest update to the MLB channel apparently requires the processing capabilities of the newer Roku models.

    Roku models currently supported by the MLB channel:
    3700X, 3710X, 3800X, 3810X, 3900X, 3910X, 4200X, 4210X, 4230X, 4400X, 4620X, 4630X, 4640X, 4660X, 5000X, 6000X, 7000X, 8000X
    (note: 3050, etc. not listed)

      Mine is working now. I was using an old Roku 2x.  I changed to my Roku stick and it’s working just fine.

        I have a roku stick but I’m experiencing the same problem. How do I check which version I have and how would I go about upgrading?  Can anyone help?

      You were correct. Thank you. I switched to my Roku stick. I was able to connect to MLB. I guess it’s time to retire my old Roku to my guest bedroom!🙂

      I have a ROKU Ultra 4660RW.  So, this will NOT work with MLB, Right ??

        For more information about what devices that channel supports, you'll want to contact the channel provider support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

  • I am not able to access MLBTV on Ultra or Express. Just spins and begins to initialize but always returns to (Roku) home screen. I rebooted and removed and reinstalled and problem continues. MLB was working on Express Wednesday night.

      I am having the same exact problem, also with An express. Help! I paid 49 to follow my team this year and now the MLB Roku channel doesn't work!

        Same here. I tried all suggestions and am using Roku model 4660X Ultra.

      Problem resolved! I am able to access archived 2019 game on Express+ tonight! Assume the Ultra is working but have not tested. Thanks to whoever fixed it!

        I have model 2710X - Roku 1, software 9.3.0 and getting screen which states MLB is no longer supported on this device.

        MLB page which shows devices supported does not show this device, but it also does not show new current devices being sold now????

      I'm having the same problem with an Express 3930MX. What can I do?

        1. Are you using a Roku TV or a Roku device?
        2. Does the issue only occur on a specific channel or all channels on your Roku device?
        3. Are you receiving error messages or codes when accessing the channel?
        4. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue?
        5. What are you seeing on screen? Can you provide a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing?

  • I cannot seem to connect to MLB.  I can get it on the home screen, click to load, the baseball comes up like it's loading, then it jumps right back to the home screen.  I've tried deleting the app, rebooting roku, adding the app again, several times.  Nothing. Same thing.  Any other suggestions?  Its not Roku as other programs will load.

  • What a joke ROKU is.  I hit the subscription contact us link....  Spinning circle....  

     

    I want to get a refund for MLB!  Your service sucks!  I want a refund.  I want a refund. Your contact us link does not work.  Please give me an email or phone number.  What a joke.  The contact link is a spinning circle that does not work!!!!
