Best TV I've had since Sharp Aquos (my first flat screen). When I upgrade I'm most likely keeping this as a bedroom TV.
Plugging the USB directly into the TV? I posted in 2020. Get a 2 foot "extension cable" USB to USB - Plug 1 end in the TV & the other in the Thumb Drive. Keep the Thumb Drive away from the TV. Some sets give off RF or Heat. I haven't had any issues in 4 years. I use SANDISK brand ... good luck... PS: a 2 foot extension cord should work
I'm wondering if you could help me. I have a Roku Streaming Stick 4K connected to my Samsung tv. I followed the instructions on how to add a flash drive so I can pause live tv, but when I install a flash drive into a USB port on my tv, Roku doesn't format the flash drive. Technology is going too fast and it's hard to keep up. Am I not doing it right? I'm disabled because of a TBI that put me in a coma for 16 days. I follow the instructions, but nothing happens and maybe you could tell me what I am doing wrong. I appreciate your help
@rpastor7, you can only use a flash drive on a Roku TV to pause antenna TV channels. It doesn't work with other Roku devices and you can't pause "live" streaming channels. I don't know if Samsung has something similar for their TVs.
