Our household is frustrated by the ads in Spanish too! We mute those ads every time begin, which has become more and more often 😞
It is absolutely obvious we are being profiled by our zip code 😠 We live in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood (in 🌵Phoenix, Arizona🌵) and although we have many Mexican friends & neighbors, we are NOT Mexican, we do NOT speak or understand Spanish... and we have ZERO desire to be shown Mexican commercials!
It is also discriminatory that if going to show ads in a language other than English why then only in Spanish... why exclude other ethnicities that might prefer to have ads brought to them in their native tongue... why are there no ads in French and Italian and Polish and German etc. Simply more proof we are being profiled by our zip code, shows us in a Hispanic area so we get stuck with Spanish ads. I sucked at Spanish in high school and have no desire to learn, it would in fact be more helpful to the Hispanic community to have all ads be in English so those struggling with our language might pick up at least a few words. We have several neighbors where kids in the house speak English but parents are slow to learn, frustrating and unfair for their kids who get stuck translating 😞
And I read ROKU's response "It's not us, it's the show that's streaming" SO WHAT... then ROKU knows who to contact to tell them to knock it off if want to air their shows via ROKU!
