blurry subtitles

Problem 1: embedded subtitles on my Express are blurry for about 10 min. then clear out, but any stop or rewind will bring back the problem.  It started happening on Kanopy, but it's not the channel problem as it streams fine on a PC. I tried changing Roku captions settings - on/off etc., but nothing works.  Is it possible to activate Roku captions instead?

Problem 2: some streaming channels are impossible to watch due to constant buffering, whether streaming or recorded content, but Youtube is always fine so it can't be the wifi. Is it selective blocking of non-paying channels?

Thanks for the post.

Have you tried to contact Kanopy support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
