When a show airs on a cable channel when is it available to watch on the Roku? For instance, if a show airs on Directv at 8:00 when can I watch it on the downloaded Roku channel?

It depends on the network and if they have a Roku channel app available. Roku themselves have no control over when material is available from the cable networks.
