Spectrum app doesn't appear in app menu

Jump to solution

I bought a Roku Express with the purpose of being able to watch Spectrum, and I'm not finding Spectrum as an option on the add channel menu.  I've tried doing it through the app and Roku website as well, and I just can't get it to work.  I've suspected maybe I got the wrong model of Roku, but it seems to say that it does include Spectrum.  Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for the post.

It sounds like you may have created a Roku account that isn't located in your current region. If channels in your region are not available, it may indicate that your device is linked to an account that was created in a different region where that channel may not be offered by the channel provider. You'll want to make sure that you are using an internet connection located in the correct region when creating your account. You can check your IP address' reported location by visiting www.whatismyip.com - If you see an issue, you'll need to contact your ISP to help resolve any issue.

We would recommend creating a new Roku account in your region. For more information about how to create a new account, visit our Support page here: How do I create a Roku® account? Once your new account is set up, try to perform a factory reset on your device and link it to your new account. This solution did not work for me, spectrum app still was not downloaded automatically and it is not appearing in channel search. Spectrum app shows up on other roku devices in the same house,on the same internet, on the same account.

I removed my Spectrum app earlier this week since it wasn’t working at all, and now I can’t find it anywhere on the Roku home screen or channel search. Im having the same problem and it’s one of the main cable providers so I’m not sure where the app went.

Roku has removed it due to a  non agreement between Roku and Spectrum.  I hope they can resolve and have it added back.  I have several and if I have to remove it or reinstall it because of some issue I won’t be able to.
