Problems with the hulu app

Does anyone have a problem where they go to open the hulu app and it just goes back to the home screen and does not allow you to open the app at all or login in. I have tried uninstalling the app logging out and unplugging and replugging in the roku .

After removing a channel, best practice is to restart your Roku to clear its memory before reinstalling the channel. Did you do this?

Restart via Settings > System > System restart (for Roku TVs: Settings > System > Power > System restart)

If the problem persists, what Roku model and model number do you have (Settings > System > About).  Hulu says its current Roku app, version 6.6.3 or higher, is compatible with the following Roku models, running Roku operating software version 8.1 or higher:

Roku Ultra
Roku Premiere and Premiere+
Roku Express and Express+
Roku 3 and 4
Roku 2 (model 4210X)
Roku Streaming Stick (model 3500X or later)
Roku TV
4k Roku TV

Some earlier Roku models can still run the earlier "Classic Hulu app". They can watch videos from the Hulu streaming library, but they will not have access to certain features, premium add-ons, or live TV:

Roku 2 (model 2720X)
Roku 1 (model 2710X)
Roku LT (model 2700X)
