OS Info: 9.2.0 Build 4806-55

Prime Video Version 11.2 Build 2020051517

 

Non-Overheating Roku:

Same Exact info for all 3 above.

Same issue here. Watching Prime Video results in overheating after about 30 minutes.

  • Prime Video version 11.2 build 2020051517
  • Roku model 3800X
  • Serial # YF008Y641156
  • Device ID CT3818641156
  • Software version 9310 build 4172-55

Same here, had my stick for over 2 years, only recently have I started getting this message and only with amazon prime, even if it’s the first app I open, within 10 mins I get the message. Otherwise I’ll use it all day with Hulu, Netflix, etc...and never get a warning.

Thanks for the post.

Can you please provide us with the following information:
-Roku Model and serial number (found in Settings > System > About)
-Roku OS version and build (found in Settings > System > About)
-Channel version (found by selecting the channel in the Home page and pressing the * button)
-When does this issue occur? Does it happen during playback, navigation, etc?

With more information we will be able to look deeper into the issue.

Same issue. Always amazon prime. I don't see roku a doing anything. They ask for details on build and model etc, but aren't providing anything after that.
