Ending subscription to a channel

It is easy to add a channel on the Roku, but I have not seen a way to terminate a subscription using the device. Adding a channel is a simple matter of going to the channel and starting to use it, but how does someone terminate a subscription? Does using the Remove link actually end the subscription? Or does it only remove access to the channel from your Roku?

I don't know the answers to your questions, but you can unsubscribe online:

Yes. Thank you. That works.
I still do not know if I could do this on the Roku itself, but doing it online was just as good.

Re: Ending subscription to a channel

On the Roku Channel List navigate to the channel you wish to remove, hit the * (asterisk) button on the remote.  You then have the option to move, remove and some other options.

Re: Ending subscription to a channel

When you remove a channel off the roku, do that cancel your subscription?  I have followed the steps it says to do but in my subscriptions, it says I have no subscriptions.  I have canceled Netflix which was the only charge I was getting.  Will that take care of it?

Re: Ending subscription to a channel

Hi,

Thanks for the inquiry.

Please be aware that removing the channel from your Home screen does not cancel your subscription. For more information on how to cancel your Roku-bill subscription, visit our Support page here: How do I manage or cancel a Roku-billed subscription?

Please note that if you have a subscription with a channel that is not Roku-billed, you will need to cancel the subscription through the channel provider directly.

Thanks,
Danny
