It is easy to add a channel on the Roku, but I have not seen a way to terminate a subscription using the device. Adding a channel is a simple matter of going to the channel and starting to use it, but how does someone terminate a subscription? Does using the Remove link actually end the subscription? Or does it only remove access to the channel from your Roku?
I don't know the answers to your questions, but you can unsubscribe online:
When you remove a channel off the roku, do that cancel your subscription? I have followed the steps it says to do but in my subscriptions, it says I have no subscriptions. I have canceled Netflix which was the only charge I was getting. Will that take care of it?
Thanks for the inquiry.
Please be aware that removing the channel from your Home screen does not cancel your subscription. For more information on how to cancel your Roku-bill subscription, visit our Support page here: How do I manage or cancel a Roku-billed subscription?
Please note that if you have a subscription with a channel that is not Roku-billed, you will need to cancel the subscription through the channel provider directly.
Thanks for the post.
You can manage your Roku billed subscriptions by logging into your Roku account online at my.roku.com and clicking Manage your subscriptions.

I recently canceled my Roku subscription. We have a subscription for ESPN and CBS, and those were not canceled prior to me canceling the Roku subscription. How can I cancel those now? It will not even let me login to the account anymore.
Send a private message to @RokuDanny-R with the email address of the account that was cancelled and let them help you out.
But you do know that there is no subscription for Roku itself. You can subscribe to different streams through your Roku account, but there is no fee of any kind for a Roku account or using a Roku device.
