I have the exact same issue, iPad iOS up-to-date, reinstalled app, not jailbroken, reinstalled app, getting same error, has there been any progress on this front?
No there is no progress, this has been happening to people for more than a year now according to forum posts I found when trying to find a solution. I've yet to hear any updates from Roku in the months I've been bumping this post or in any other posts I've found here and elsewhere. They just ask you for your software versions, recommend you reinstall the app, say the team is working on it, and never reply again. Whatever they're doing to check for jailbroken devices is definitely bugged tho, because all my other apps that check for this (banking and financial apps etc.) work fine.
At this point I've bought android streamers and connected them to my TVs that run the Roku OS so I don't have to deal with this hassle when I want to use headphones and won't be purchasing another Roku device.
