It shouldn't be happening, so there's something wrong with your Roku device or its power source. If you're using the TV's USB port to power it, try using a USB power adapter that can provide at least 1 Amp plugged into the wall.

Losing power should not cause a full reset that requires relogging in and rearranging app locations. It should be no different than a simple reboot.

During an update though?? During an update is a lousy time to lose power. Many devices can thoroughly brick themselves if that happens.
