TV's speakers and Roku's volume control buttons

This problem just started All of sudden, when using the volume buttons on the side of the Roku remote, a loud voice from the TV's speakers lets me know how high or low the volume has been changed to...

    JimShaw, some TVs turn on the "feature" with a long press of the Mute button.  I don't know if a long press will turn it back off or if you have to go through the TV's menus.

    A big thank you

    I held the TV's remote mute button down for one minute and that did it.

    Now, when the Roku's volume buttons are pressed, all I hear is silence from the TV telling me how high or low the volume is

A big thank you

I held the TV's remote mute button down for one minute and that did it.
