TV is in recovery mode and I’ve tried everything that I know and still won’t reset

  • Hi, Bronchos32

Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.

We understand the problem you've encountered with your Roku TV in recovery mode. We'd be glad to assist you in getting things back on track. Let's perform a troubleshooting step to exit you from the recovery mode and re-activate your Roku TV again. Kindly follow the steps below:

    Recovery Mode

Initiate commands on your Roku TV to enter recovery mode once again to set it up.

    1. Locate the pinhole Reset button on the back of your TV, near the antenna, HDMI, and audio connections.
    2. Using a straightened paperclip (or similar), press and hold the reset button for at least 20 seconds.

After a moment, your TV will restart and display the Recovery Mode screen.

Once you're in the Recovery Mode, follow the instructions to proceed. TV will download and install the software before restarting. This may take a few moments, after which time you may be asked to perform the Guided Setup and activation process, depending on the state of your TV, prior to using Recovery Mode.

For the $, on the keyboard that's displayed select the !?#$%& button to the right of the number pad and you'll get a whole set of different characters.  Select the ABC123 to get back to the regular keyboard characters.
