Toshiba 2011 TV will not turn on with remote
I just bought a second Roku 4K streaming stick and everything works well except my 2011 Toshiba TV will not power on with the remote. The volume works fine along with the power button to turn it off...

I have followed those instructions and it finds the code that turns the music off, but the code will only work the volume and turn the TV off. Once the TV is off, that code will not turn the TV back on for some reason. Once again, it only works the volume and the TV off, but not back on.
I had this same issue with my 2012 Toshiba 40E220U TV. Using the Roku Ultra remote I was able to control TV volume and turn the TV off, but not back on. I found a setting in the TV Setup menu for REGZA Link Setup (same as CEC) and changed the TV Auto Power setting to ON. This fixed the problem for me and now the Roku Ultra Remote can turn the TV off and on and control volume. I hope information will solve the issue for you too!
