Hi quintain
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Have you tried contacting the TV manufacturer - TCL to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS. They'll be the best ones to help regarding your issue.
You can contact them here: TCL Support. Call them at 1-877-300-8837.
Please keep us posted on what you find out.
Warm Regards,
Lianna
Lianna..thank you.
I have just contacted TCL using the link you supplied.
However my TV being new to me is a refurbished one which i bought via Ebay, I am unsure if TCL will wish to be involved.
Again thank you.
My Best Regards...quintain

quintain, I assume you're in the UK and you mean "Freesat". You need a dish and a box to receive that from what I've read.

Hi renojim....thank you for your reply yes I should have said Freesat (not freestat) and yes I am in the UK.
My 5yr++ old LG TV had 'unknown to me a built in digital receiver' accordingly I connected the aerial coax to the correct connection and also the old sky box cable to its connection. All this occurred about 1 yr after cancelling Sky subscription
I had not realised this time around I should have looked for another TV with built in digital gubbins!!!
Again thank you for your interest and reply; it looks as though I will need to buy a Freesat box but I will wait to see what reply I get from the TV manufacturers.

Most TVs have a QAM tuner. I don't think many come with DVB-S2 or DVB-T2 compatible tuners. Some Sony models do have sat tuners. You'd be better off getting a set-top box.
