Streaming at bedtime (sleep timer) on a Smart TV
Stupid question: With a TCL Roku Smart TV (model #32S359) can I stream a movie/program before I fall asleep -- set the sleep timer -- and it's perfectly safe for the Smart TV?
*I'm used to streaming from a device/player separate from the TV.
Hi pete999,
We appreciate your time posting in the Roku Community.
We understand that you want to know how to set the sleep timer feature on your Roku TV. We would be more than happy to assist you in your inquiry.
Sleep Timer is a feature where you can assign a time in the near future when the screen on your Roku TV will shut off on its own.
Start here for step-by-step instructions on how to enable the Roku Sleep timer:
- Press Home on your Rpku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- Select System
- Select Time
- Select Sleep timer
- Choose a time interval (30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 3 hours)
To learn more, read the detailed article about using a sleep timer with your Roku TV.
We hope we have addressed your question appropriately, but please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions or additional feedback.
Best regards,
Mary
