Roku voice remote pro voice button is not working.

I bought the voice remote pro 2nd edition remote exactly 1 year ago and now the voice button is no longer working and I can no longer say hey Roku anymore. I've got it turned on the side of the remote but when I say hey Roku nothing happens. Also, pressing the mic button or pressing and holding the mic button does nothing. I've restarted the system and paired the remote again with no luck. I see other people have had this problem and the problem was fixed, but not mine.

    You mentioned that the voice command and button on your Roku Voice Remote Pro aren’t working. Let's try these additional steps to see how this works.

    1. Restart your remote (Press and hold Home + Back for 20 seconds until the light stops flashing.) 
    2. Re-pair the remote again (Restart your Roku device, then press and hold the Home and Back buttons together for 5 seconds until the light flashes)
