Do you use HDMI-CEC? If not, an easy answer might be turning that off in the AVR and/or the Roku. (In the Roku this is at Settings -> System -> Control other devices -> 1-touch-play.)
Hmm, then again, maybe you do use HDMI-CEC because you say "after shutting down the system with the pre-programmed Roku remote". I believe Roku still claims that the power button on any Roku remote only sends a power code to a TV, so it would seem to be your TV that tells the AVR to shutdown (50% of the time?) but then it still might be the Roku that is waking it back up. So if you want to go this route, you might experiment with shutting it off in the TV too. (Samsung calls it AnyNet+ - everyone has their own name for HDMI-CEC.)
So is there a site on Roku to adjust CEC?

Thanks but I know how to do it on my Sony (Bravia Sync = HDMI-CEC) TV and I already turned it off but it didn’t work - it still happens.
