Roku Select Series TV IR Remote and disabling wifi-direct?

I just bought a Roku Select Series TV (model is 40R2A5R, I believe)... Only to belatedly discover - from many, many other threads out there - that it creates a 5GHz wifi network for the **bleep** ...

1) I suggest the Best Buy Insignia universal remotes, they come in 3, 5, and 8 device models:

2) There's an option in the settings to turn off wifi remote control. But you shouldn't do it without having IR remote to continue controlling the Roku. Its under settings> system> advanced system settings> device connect> disable

Thanks for the reply, and the link.  I may try a cheapo $6 Roku remote from amazon first, since all I really need is the on/off - but it's good to have that universal solution in my back pocket.

As far as the Advanced menu:  I've read that disabling wifi-direct in settings doesn't actually kill the broadcast network.  (E.g., https://community.roku.com/t5/Discussions/Tv-broadcasting-a-WiFi-access-point-despite-device-connect-being-disabled/td-p/936407)  But I'll give it a shot before resorting to TV surgery.
