You mentioned your Roku remote automatically add an app. Can you try these steps:
If your remote uses regular batteries:
- Take out both batteries.
- Press any two buttons on the remote to discharge any remaining power.
- Put the batteries back in—make sure the negative end goes in first.
- Snap the battery cover back on.
If your remote is rechargeable:
- If it has a Pairing button, press and hold it for 20 seconds.
- If there’s no Pairing button, press and hold the Back and Home buttons together for 20 seconds.
- Wait until the light on the remote stops blinking.
