Roku Premier no sound or picture

Turned the TV off for dinner then turned it on afterwards and Roku is acting weird. No picture or sound but ir is actually playing. I say that because you can see closed caption on the screen and see the frame by frame when you rewind. The other weird thing is that Spotify works perfectly.  Roku is run through a Denon receiver and Samsung TV. If I use the free channels on the TV sound and picture are fine. Unplugged Roku and same issue. I'm lost now.
