Roku Photo Stream doesn’t work

I have read other post about the Roku Photo Stream app not working and the solutions. I have done all the resetting and deleting that was said to fix it and nothing happens. I have a stream set up with photos from my phone, start app, goes to play video/get started and nothing happens after that. I’m starting to think it’s a gimmick or Roku no longer supports the app. Very frustrating

We appreciate you reaching out about the photo stream features, and we're here to assist you.

Please note that two options are available for using the photo stream features. Please try both options and see if they make a difference. Whether adding pictures to your Photo Stream or one shared with you by a family member or friend, you can upload photos using a web browser or the free Roku mobile app.

    Web browser

Open a web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer and use the following steps to create a Photo Stream and upload photos.

    1. Visit photostreams.roku.com
    2. Sign into your Roku account.
    3. Select Create Stream to create a new Photo Stream, or choose an existing stream.
    4. Upload your favorite photos
    5. If desired, customize the name of the Photo Stream
    6. Share the stream with family and friends using the Stream URL or email the link to them directly

    Roku mobile app

If you have not done so, download and install the Roku mobile app for iOS® and Android, and then use the steps below to upload photos.

    1. Launch the mobile app.
    2. Tap on the User icon in the top corner
    3. Tap Sign in and enter your email address and password
    4. Select Photo Streams
    5. Select Create Stream to create a new Photo Stream, or choose an existing stream.
    6. Upload your favorite photos
    7. If desired, customize the name of the Photo Stream
    8. Share the stream with family and friends using the URL or email the link to them directly

Once signed into the mobile app, you can upload directly from the photo gallery to your phone using the following instructions.

    1. Open the photo app on your phone
    2. Choose one or more of your favorite images
    3. Tap the share button and choose Roku to upload the images to any of your Photo Streams.

After creating your first stream, the Photo Streams channel is installed on your Rou devices, and the screensaver is automatically set to Photo Streams.

This should resolve the issue you are experiencing; however, if it is still unresolved, please reply, and we will be able to assist you further.

    Thanks,
    Jharra

Did you ever get it working? I have a Roku TV and cannot get the photo stream app to work, it just stays on the screen that says Photo stream. It also doesn't work when I set it as the screen saver.
