i have same problem with orginal remote and with new remote. NONE of your suggested troubleshooting techniques solved the problem. It appears this is a manufacturing issue. the contacts on the touchpads are defective. How are you going to solve this problem?

I am having the same problem with the right arrow button not working on my #RokuExpress4K+. It is only 3 weeks old and the right arrow stopped working in the 2nd week. We have tried all the steps to resolve, like battery replacement, reset, re-pair. There are so many of us with the same issue. Must be a manufacturing defect. Please just send us all a new remote that works
Thank you.

I would love for you to send me and everyone else on here a PM about what Roku plans to do about your defective product. If multiple people have the exact same problem with only one button on an original or replacement remote, then it is obviously NOT a battery or pairing issue. It is a defective remote. Roku should do the right thing and offer all of us free, working replacement devices. I cannot in good conscience recommend Roku to anyone if the product has a known flaw and Roku isn't doing anything to fix it.

I have the same issue. I have to hold the remote in my left hand and use my right thumb to press either the left or right arrow button so hard I feel like my thumb will crack the remote just to get the cursor to move in either direction. I wonder if there are any universal remotes that might work.

I have tried everything. There's nothing we can do when it's just the right arrow not responding. All other buttons are working. Unfortunately, this is the second remote of Roku I am having that is having issues. The first one that came with the tv, the buttons were not even responding at all. I use my phone to control the TV but it's not convenient. I am not eager to buy a new remote as this seems like a general issue with Roku remotes.

My remote is experiencing touch issues with the left and up arrow controls. Did you ever get your issue resolved? Is there a universal remote that doesn’t use Roku’s hardware? I downloaded the iPhone Roku app and use that occasionally. It is a pain!

I posted yesterday so I am waiting for a response. Although I assume it is a manufacturing issue/design flaw.
