Controlling TV WITHOUT voice commands

I have a Roku Voice Pro. I can turn on/off my TV with voice commands, but not the power button. This is necessary as I sometimes watch TV while my husband sleeps, and I don't want to wake him by talking to the remote. Do I need to do something in particular/like Syncing the remote to my TV? Thank you!

  • LesFatz I assume you also cannot control the TV volume with the volume controls on the Roku remote.  If that is the case yes you need to sync the remote to your TV.  Here are the steps:

    1. Navigate to Settings
    2. Select Remotes & devices
    3. Select Remotes followed by your remote
    4. Select Set up remote for TV control

      LesFatz-

Is this a Roku TV (one with Roku capability built in), or is it a non-Roku TV with a Roku device connected to it?
