Blank Home screen

Until yesterday, when I logged into Roku using my remote there was no problem with the home screen coming up on the television -- menu side bar, app list etc.  Now I get an empty Roku screen. I did remove the Roku stick, waited about a minute, and put it back in.  Still nothing.

The home screen is there, but it is empty. My remote doesn't do anything.

HOWEVER, when I use the Roku app on my phone I can access whatever I want. I choose the app, and it appears on the TV. Once the app pops up, I can navigate as usual around the app with my remote. However, if I click the home button, it's back to the empty home screen.

Is there a fix for this? Things were plugging along as usual, until they weren't. I didn't make any changes --updates, new apps, etc.
