I want to disable voice on my remote

The only Roku Voice Remote whose microphone is active without you having to press the microphone button is the Voice Remote Pro. It has a small slide switch on the left side for you to activate/disable the "always listening" feature.
There is still a microphone button on the front of the remote you can press and hold to issue a voice command when "always listening" is disabled.

There is an annoying robotic voice which announces all the viewing choices as I click on them. I want to turn this feature off. I do not know how it was activated.
