After latest update: Airplay not working & Apps on Roku gone: Amazon Prime, ARD Mediathek

Roku Express (3930, 3931 series)  

Dear Roku-Community & Support,

After the latest update of my Roku Express two days ago the following happened:
1) Airplay is not working - if I want to mirror my apple 14 pro iPhone (iOs 17.7) my TV shows only a "Airplay screen" but did not start "mirroring".

2) Apps/channels are no longer available:
I am not able to find the apps/channels "Amazon Prime" and "ARD Mediathek". Only Youtube was working for using Roku.

I bought Roku Express (and it worked to far), because on the package ARD and Prime are printed on the package, promising to be used with Roku.

Please indicate how to proceed.

    Our Roku-appropriate team would like to have an update about your previous concern with your Roku device not working with AirPlay. We would appreciate it if you could provide us with an update on whether you are still encountering issues with this feature.

    In addition, we would like you to ensure that your Roku device is running the latest software version. To check, kindly follow the steps below:

    1. Press Home on your Roku remote 
       
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select Software update
    5. Select Check Now to manually check for updates

  • Emuck Unplug the Roku for 30 seconds and plug it back in.  This will restart your device.

      Dear HDMI-Guru,

      Thanks so much.

      Unfortunately did not change a thing.
      I tried to "mirror" ARD Mediathek and on the TV screen it is mentioned that the devices are paired but the film does not start. On my iPhone it is mentioned that there is an error "mirroring".

      Any other idea?

        Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!

        We understand that you are having trouble with your Roku Express after updating it to our new Operating System (OS). We would be more than willing to sort this out for you.

        We highly suggest you provide us with the following details, as we will coordinate this with our Roku-appropriate team.

        • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
        • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)

        Providing these details will help us to look closely into the issue.
