after connecting to wifi my roku won’t launch a browser to finish connecting to wifi

I live in a college dorm and I have taken all the necessary steps to connect the roku to the wifi. I have registered the roku and activated it. Unplugged and plugged the device back in, and restarted the whole thing, however when I get to the step where it says to launch a browser, none of my devices will launch said browser. What do I do?

    If you’re using an iPhone, the browser won’t automatically open. Type captive.apple.com in your safari url to force the browser open (while connected to the roku’s wifi). This should open a browser that allows your Roku to connect to the dorm or hotel wifi. If you’re using an android, figure out what the url is to force browsers open on that device.
