Unable to adjust Floodlight camera brightness. No accessories option on Settings

We CANNOT find the area to adjust the brightness of the flood light on our deck camera/Floodlight.  There is no accessories in setting.  It was there before! What gives?  Trying to adjust how long the light stays on after motion triggers it and just cannot find this area of the settings again!

  • Hi Community users,

    Greetings from the Roku Community!

We want to follow up on fixing the problem with your Roku Floodlight camera, where you cannot see the accessories option. Kindly follow the troubleshooting steps below:

Factory reset your  Roku Floodlight camera SE

    1. Plug in your camera if not already powered on
    2. Press and hold the Setup button for 10 seconds
    3. Wait at least 30 seconds for your camera to restart
    4. After a successful reset, you will see a blue pulsing status light on your camera.

In addition, if you are having trouble factory resetting it manually, you can delete the Floodlight camera directly from the app by following these steps:

    1. On the Home screen, select your Floodlight Camera SE
    2. Tap Settings

    3. Scroll down and tap Delete device
    4. Tap Delete or Yes to confirm your selection

    Setup the device again:

    1. Open the Home screen

    2. Tap the plus sign from the navigation bar

    3. Select Add device
    4. Select Cameras & doorbells category and then choose Floodlight Camera
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions

      Hi HammerJ,

      Welcome to the Roku Community!

I noticed in your post that you are having an issue with your Roku Floodlight. I would be more than willing to help you with this.

To thoroughly investigate this issue, could you please provide additional details about it? In the meantime, I suggest you try the following.

      Restart your Floodlight:

      1. Locate the breaker switch that controls power to your floodlight camera
      2. Flip the switch to the OFF position
      3. Wait 10 seconds
      4. Flip the switch to the ON position
      • Warning: If you are unsure which breaker switch controls your floodlight camera or you are uncomfortable with the steps, contact a licensed electrician for assistance.

We look forward to your response.

      Regards,
      Riamie

I’ve done all of this, I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with the useless customer support. Sitting for hours waiting for a resolution and  then the live chat disappears….  The issue was supposedly escalated to the engineering team but it’s been almost a year now and I’ve Got no resolution to my issue. What a waste of time and $100 that I’ll never get back.

  • SAME EXACT ISSUE!

I was even sent a replacement.... it's not the device. It's their stupid app. I have also wasted countless hours of my life. The adjustability options were removed after one of their stupid app updates, on both iPhone and Android apps. Its been like this for OVER A YEAR for me.  I feel your pain.

I NEVER BUY ROKU ANYTHING ANYMORE BC OF THIS ISSUE.

I NEVER RECOMMEND ROKU PRODUCTS ANYMORE BC OF THIS ISSUE.

ROKU. WAKE UP AND FIX YOUR APP.

I have the same problem and have not yet been able to resolve it

  • I’m having the same problem. I’ve got two of these floodlight outdoor cameras. They were both working fine until last week. One of them Auto installed the wrong firmware. It now thinks it’s an indoor camera of a completely different model! The ability to turn the floodlight off and on from the app is completely gone as are all of the floodlight settings. The camera is having an identity crisis! It no longer recognizes that it even has a floodlight according to the app, but the floodlight still functions on the device, I just do not have the ability to control it from the app. I have spent Roughly 2 hours chatting and on the phone with support and their only solution right now is to send me a replacement camera . They have no idea why this has happened. Replacing the camera is going to be a royal pain and required an electrician to initially install it. I have not yet tried deleting the device and factory resetting it. I keep hoping one of these mornings I will wake up to find it restored, but as time goes by that seems unlikely.

  • WE HAVE ALL DONE THIS, MULTIPLE TIMES, FOR COUNTLESS HOURS. I EVEN RECIEVED A REPLACEMENT. STILL... UNABLE TO ADJUST BRIGHTNESS. UNABLE TO ACCESS FEATURES FORMERLY AVAILABLE IN APP. THE PROBLEM IS THE ROKU APP. FIX THE APP CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! WE ARE TIRED OF YOUR USELESS "SUGGESTIONS" TO KEEP RESTARTING OUR DEVICES.

    FIX YOUR APP

THE OPTIONS WERE AVAILABLE. NOW THEY ARENT.

YES MY DEVICES ARE ALL UPDATED.

YES, ITS THE SAME STUPID ISSUE ON IPHONE AND ANDROID APP.

ITS BEEN YEARS. WE ARE TIRED. FIX YOUR APP.

I have the same problem and I’ve never been given a solution to fix and the support for this company is useless. I wish I never spent the money on and spent more money with Ring. It would have been worth it to not constantly have problems
