Same package, different cameras

I purchased two of you Indoor SE cameras from a local retailer. The packages looked identical. However, one camera comes up identified as model “indoor camera” (firmware 3.0.2.8391) and the other as model CS1000x (firmware 6.1.0 • build 48-FD). The CS1000x cannot do HD video but the “Indoor Camera” can.  I do not know how to get the CS1000x camera to do HD video. I’ve tried upgrading the firmware and reinstalling the camera but nothing changes. I don’t see a place in the Roku Smart Home app to change this or in my iPhone. I have the latest version of the Smart Home app and of my iPhone software. Can you help me understand how I can get the CS1000X to do HD video?

  • Hi hortiz,

    Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand that you have different types of Roku Indoor Camera SE models, and the CS1000x model is not working with HD resolution. We would be more than willing to provide you with more details about this.

Roku Indoor Camera SE (CS1000x) is the old version of Indoor Camera SE. However, it does support HD resolution. It will auto-go for the highest resolution it can, and it will auto-raise or lower depending on the network connection.

We hope you find this information helpful.

    Cheers,
