Battery Camera SE stuck in checking for updates

Purchased an Battery Camera SE. Charged it overnight. Started the install process (power up, recognized, added to Wi-Fi network) and the app appears to be stuck in the "checking for updates" step. I'...

    Following up on this issue. Please perform these troubleshooting steps below:

    1. Wait at least 8 minutes during the update.
    2. If your internet connection is weak, try connecting to a better one.
    3. If the update doesn't finish within 60 minutes, you should attempt the process again. 


    If the problem persists, let us know.

For the benefit of others I found out that the flashing red lights means "error" so it's possible this camera is defective. I'll return it and try another one. Hopefully that one will work. While (somehow) my logon has been tagged "reel rookie" I've had this system for over a year.  I may junk the whole thing, sell it on e-bay, and switch to ring or blink systems.

  • Can you share where you purchased the camera?
