360 Camera not turning off

OK I posted Sunday night/Monday morning but someone decided to mark.my problem as spam. That night I had turned on my 360 camera to try to check on where my cat was without getting up out of bed. Well it would NOT turn on just kept say error 90 or something. I tried unplugging it's cord from the adapter in the outlet 2 or 3 times with it still refusing to turn on. Googled it and it said to unplugging the cord from the back of the device so did that. OK then it would turn on but refused to actually turn OFF. It would show off in the app after hitting o but the lights would stay on and if I refreshed it would show as on again. So I tried removing the device from the app, wouldn't let me would just say failed. Tried just adding the device again so hit.setup and try to just add it again, it wouldn't show the qr code to show the camera. So I just left it unplugged and gave up for the night as it was after 3am and I had to work the next day.

Well today before I tried removing again and it would still just fail so uninstalled the smart home app and re-downloaded it. That finally let me remove the camera and when I tried to set it.uo again it worked. Everything seemed fine all day while I was at work. Well when I got home and go to turn off all my cameras I told that stupid 360 camera to turn off 3 times but still kept hearing my notification going off about it detecting movement. Thought I was going crazy cause I was like.i swear I hit off! So after doing it the last time I kept looking at the camera and yeah the light wasn't going off on it and the app was saying it was off... until I refreshed! Had to unplug it AGAIN since it refuses to actually turn off!

So what gives?! Why the heck is there suddenly such horrific problems with this camera especially with its refusal to turn OFF? Did you guys do anything update to it recently that it downloaded and now it's broken as heck? Cause it was just fine all day Saturday  (March 9th)

  • I had the same problem, error 90, app refused to remove device. I uninstalled the Smart Home app from my phone, rebooted the phone, then reinstalled app. It was still not responding to turn on/off commands every time, so I created 2 rules,  to turn both cameras on and off. Seems to be working reliably now. Hope that helps you.

Well after I had it working again it went right back to refusing to turn off so I had unplugged it so it would stop bloody recording me. And later plugged it back in and uninstalling and reinstalling thw smart home app again allowed me to turn it off and it actually turns off but that is ridiculous that I would need to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the app to get THAT camera to actually shut off suddenly. I do actually have a turn on/off rule for my cameras, but I have the off time set longer than it normally takes me to get home from work just to account for well maybe this night I don't leave right on time ya know? So I have em stay on and while longer and just manually turn then off when I get home, but now there's this sudden issue ONLY with the 360 camera.

I don't know if this made any difference or not, but I went through the setup process on both of my cameras again, after I reinstalled the app. Just tested them both again, working well, but it's only been 3 days since I took these steps.
