Video hosting for direct publisher - vimeo?

I use Vimeo for this purpose.   FTP files to Vimeo then once encoded you'll have to go and snag all the url data to work with the Roku scripts.   It all works but the amount of effort in managing all the Vimeo links is a daunting task!   

Has any Roku Developer found a way to effectively manage all the Vimeo links for use in Roku xml coding?   I'm interested in hearing how YOU and OTHERS manage Roku links from your Vimeo Pro Account.   Is there a software solution out there that makes this Roku/Vimeo management task easy to do?

I am trying to build a Roku Channel using uploads to my Vimeo Pro but when I paste the url I keep getting the The server returned a non-200 status code Message.  
Why would it be so hard to manage my Vimeo files? and why won't my url work?  Thanks for any help.  I'm new to all this.

Which vimeo url are you using? Click on your video, go to "Video File" and under the Access Your Video Files heading, you will see several inks that start with: https://player.vimeo.com/external/

I am trying to link this to a Roku channel using and external link in my settings and I get"The feed URL(s) could not be validated.

As an example, this link to a pro-vimeo video will fail:
https://player.vimeo.com/external/########.hd.mp4?s=2a864ea101ce790e22125a3e317ff1d8431d6e86&profile_id=169

But this will play:
https://player.vimeo.com/external/########.hd.mp4?s=2a864ea101ce790e22125a3e317ff1d8431d6e86

You could try deleting the last parameter the "&profile_id=###" and trying again?

In what universe does a $600/month solution make sense for a direct publisher channel? The reason that Vimeo and InstantTVChannel are so popular is that their low fees give indie channels a chance of breaking even.

Odd Network's feed configuration tool is free, but it only works with Vimeo currently.

I believe you were looking at their pricing estimator for their non-Direct Publisher solutions.

I use Vimeo's HLS url and that give you the adaptive bitrate streaming without having to enter multiple URLs, just make sure you grab the url that is for an external player:
