Settings Menu and Dynamic Label Lists

Hey all, I'm trying to create a settings menu similar to the Roku Settings from the Home Screen. I'm having a hard time setting up a static Label List Panel on the left with a dynamic changing panel on the right. Setting up the Label list panel is easy. But when I set the createNextPanelOnItemFocus to true to get the createNextPanelIndex I'm a bit lost.

Is there some callback that I need to register to and return the new Scene Graph Node??

Not really understanding how the whole "Automatic Create Next Panel Functionality" workflow is supposed to look like I guess.
