Download / Install channel via telnet or client

Is there a way to download existing channels from a Roku device (as a zip file)?

Is it possible (and if how) to download a channel from web (as a zip file) and install it via developer web console or telnet?

    1) No

    2) Yes, but you need the source code.  Any channel/app requiring that method of installation is most likely trying to skirt Roku's Terms of Service and will likely result in that method of installation being removed from your Roku.
